Privacy Notice for Your Visit Journal

Jgor is a personal shop-visit companion that helps you keep local records of places you drop in, what you ordered, and the moments you capture. This notice explains how information is handled inside that experience.

What This Notice Covers

This Privacy Notice applies to the Jgor mobile application as distributed for personal use. Jgor does not require you to create a profile, sign in, or maintain an online identity in order to browse shops you have saved, log a visit, or review your timeline.

Because the core journal runs on your device, most of what you enter never leaves the phone unless you choose to export media through the system photo tools or interact with platform features that operate outside Jgor itself.

Records That Live on Your Device

When you use Jgor, the following categories of information may be stored locally so that your journal remains available the next time you open the app:

  • Shop entries you create, including names, cities, areas, addresses, tags, free-form notes, and wishlist flags.
  • Visit logs, including visit dates and times, order descriptions, personal notes, companion labels, visit reasons, return intent, stay duration, and tags you attach.
  • Photo and video files you attach to a visit, along with generated thumbnails used for faster browsing in the timeline and shop pages.
  • Aggregated counts derived from your journal, such as total visits, unique shops, monthly activity, and cities represented in your data.
  • In-app preference values, including appearance mode, launch animation toggles, check-in sound settings, and any coin balance maintained on the device.

These materials are written to on-device storage (including the application documents area and preference storage). Uninstalling Jgor typically removes this journal. We do not operate a cloud backup of your shop or visit content inside the app.

Camera, Library, and Microphone Access

Jgor may request system permissions that are necessary only for visit documentation:

  • Camera access, so you can photograph or film a visit while check-in is in progress.
  • Photo library access, so you can select existing images for a visit, and photo library add access if you save a visit image out to your gallery.
  • Microphone access, limited to situations where you capture visit video with sound.

Permission dialogs are controlled by the operating system. Declining a permission may limit photo or video features while leaving other journal tools available. Media captured for Jgor is intended to remain on your device within the visit you associate it with, subject to any copies you later place in the system gallery.

Why Local Processing Happens

Device-side processing exists so Jgor can:

  • Display your home overview, recent visits, shop lists, and timeline filters by city.
  • Let you edit or delete shop and visit entries you previously saved.
  • Generate thumbnails for smoother scrolling through visit galleries.
  • Remember the interface preferences you choose.
  • Play optional check-in sounds and launch animations when enabled.

We do not use your shop notes or visit photos to build advertising profiles inside Jgor, and we do not sell that journal content.

Network Paths and Platform Services

Jgor is designed as a local journal. Your visit notes and media are not uploaded to a Jgor-operated content server as part of ordinary check-in, timeline browsing, or shop management.

Separately, the operating system, app store, and device security frameworks may process technical signals when you install updates, validate purchases handled by the store, or report crashes through system channels. Those pathways are governed by the policies of Apple and other platform providers, not by a Jgor-hosted user database.

If future versions introduce optional network features that transmit journal content, this notice will be revised before such features become active in a way that materially changes these practices.

Practical Safeguards We Rely On

Because your journal resides on the device, protection depends heavily on the security of that device. Jgor stores journal files in the application sandbox and uses ordinary file and preference APIs provided by the platform.

We take commercially reasonable steps in product design to avoid unnecessary transmission of visit content. No mobile application can promise that data will never be exposed if a device is lost, compromised, backed up to third-party services you enable, or accessed by someone with physical control of the unlocked phone. Consider using device passcodes, biometric locks, and OS-level privacy settings.

How Long Items Remain

Shop records, visit logs, and attached media remain on the device until you delete them inside Jgor or remove the application. Preference values persist until you change them or clear app data through system tools.

Deleting a visit or shop from within the app removes the associated local entries and, where applicable, the linked photo files managed by Jgor. Residual copies may still exist if you previously saved images to the system photo library or if device backups retain older snapshots outside Jgor.

Controls Available to You

You may:

  • Edit or delete individual shops and visits from the relevant detail screens.
  • Revoke camera, microphone, or photo library permissions in system Settings, which will restrict related capture flows.
  • Adjust appearance, launch animation, and check-in sound preferences inside Jgor.
  • Uninstall the app to clear the on-device journal, understanding that this action is generally irreversible for content that was never exported elsewhere.

Because there is no mandatory online account, there is no separate remote profile to close. Questions about local data handling may be sent to the mailbox listed in this notice.

Younger Users and Household Care

Jgor is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13 through an online account system, because no such system is required to use the app.

Parents and guardians who allow a young person to keep a visit journal on a shared or supervised device should review the photos, notes, and shop details stored locally and use the device controls available through the operating system. If you believe a child has provided information in a manner that requires attention beyond local deletion, write to us and we will help clarify what the app stores on-device.

Revisions to These Practices

We may update this Privacy Notice when features, storage behavior, or legal expectations change. Material updates will be reflected in the published HTML version of this notice, including an adjusted effective date. Continued use of Jgor after an update means you are aware of the revised description of our practices.
